Biography

Allen Telgenhof joined Molosky & Co. in January 2023 where he specializes in trial work and all aspects of litigation. He is an experienced arbitrator, mediator and investigator, assisting businesses, schools and other organizations.

From 2013 to 2023, Allen served as the elected prosecuting attorney for Charlevoix County where he was the chief law enforcement official for the county and tried major felony cases including murder, attempted murder, criminal sexual conduct, felonious assault and major drug crimes.

Prior to his election as prosecuting attorney in 2012, Allen was in private practice for 23 years where he practiced in all areas of the law, including civil litigation, family law, real estate, estate planning, criminal defense and business formation and consultation.

Allen has a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in business administration and graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he was a member of the law review.

In the community, Allen has served as a member of the Charlevoix Area Schools Board of Education, including six years as president, the Charlevoix School Foundation, City of Charlevoix Planning Commission, North Country Community Mental Health Board, Charlevoix Little League board and his church board.

Prior to moving to northern Michigan in 1994, Allen served on the school board in his hometown of Clio, Michigan where he was also the co-founder and president of the Clio Area Educational Fund (now in existence for over 25 years). For his contributions, Allen was recognized as the Clio Area Schools Alumnus of the Year in 1999.

In his spare time, Allen has coached baseball at all levels progressing from T-ball to Little League to travel ball to high school to now assisting at the collegiate level. He lives in Traverse City with his wife, Erin, and has four adult children. Allen was recently named one of the 20 Most Fascinating People in Northern Michigan by a regional publication.
